Tap Dance with Howard

This is a wonderful place to learn tap dance and meet great people. Howard is an amazing teacher—patient, encouraging, and incredibly clear in the way he explains choreography step by step. Every class feels like real progress as we continue learning new steps and building confidence. The studio offers so many advantages: it’s not only about tap dance, but also about understanding rhythm, musicality, and movement. There is always a positive, welcoming atmosphere that makes learning enjoyable and fun.

Howard is a true mensch in every sense of the word and a great teacher. I've been taking classes with him on and off for about ten years and he creates a very warm and inviting atmosphere. I've learned a lot and probably should be a professional by now, but I don't attend classes consistently. But, when I do show up, I'm always welcomed back with enthusiasm.

The time flies. Classes are challenging but everyone is given the time they need to catch up. Can’t say enough how much fun it is to be back in tap shoes!

I haven't tapped in over 30 years but was curious if I could still do it and whether I'd still enjoy it. I do!!! A huge part is because of Howard and his magical studio. Such a welcoming place. Classes are fun and challenging, but fear not. Classes are broken down into a variety of skill levels, so if you are brand new, getting back into it after a break, or just trying a new studio, there's a level for you. The other teachers are positive, keep the class fun, and teach technique clearly. There are a few classes for children, but the majority of classes are for adults. For those of you thinking about returning to tap after a hiatus, even if it's been a long one, muscle memory is real. Although it can take a minute to regain balance and ankle strength. But don't worry, the environment is not pretentious and you'll have a blast!!!!

Personal attention, totally uplifting and accessible to big kids (ahem, moms like me) who've always wanted to learn to tap but never found the time. So grateful for this little space of joy.
